More than 20 vehicles damaged by fire at KCK dealership

Flames damaged or destroyed more than 20 vehicles at a KCK used car dealership Friday morning. Officials believe the fire is suspicious and are working to determine for certain if an arsonist is to blame. Damage is estimated at about $85,000. Because multiple vehicles caught fire and vandalism appears to have occurred, it looks suspicious, according to a spokesman for the KCK Police Department. Investigators are treating the case as an arson. Firefighters were called to the Raceway Auto Group dealership at 6801 State Ave. at 5 a.m. Friday. Flames destroyed 19 vehicles. Two other vehicles saw damage and led to part of the building catching on fire.
