Georgia storm-related insurance claims hit $10 million

 Wednesday, February 5, 2014

State Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens says Georgians have already filed more than an estimated $10 million in claims related to last week’s snow storm. Hudgens said in a statement Monday that insured losses include damage to insured homes and vehicles. He says the estimated total is based on claims activity reported to the state Insurance Department by major insurance providers. Hudgens says the estimate is only partial and does not include all storm-related insurance claims.
