Firefighters Battle Blaze At Kleen Energy Plant In Middletown, Conn.

Firefighters were battling a fire at the Kleen Energy power plant Wednesday morning. Initial reports are that the fire is in what is known as turbine 1 at the plant at 1439 River Road. "They’ave having a very difficult time putting it out," said Middletown Fire Marshal Al Santostefano. The turbines are powered by natural gas or fuel oil, he said.
