Sandy Damaged Home in Toms River Destroyed by Fire

A Toms River home still vacant from Sandy damage, collapsed after being severely damaged during a fire overnight Sunday. The blaze in the three-story house at 647 Bayview Drive in the Silverton Section of the Township was reported shortly before 2:00 a.m., according to the Ocean Signal. Members of the Silverton Fire Company also extinguished flames that spread to the attic of a home at 641 Bayview Drive and a piling and deck system under construction at an adjoining property of the three-story home.
