Another truck gets stuck under an Oregon railroad bridge

Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 Auto

A truck driver relying on GPS missed a warning sign and got his trailer wedge beneath a railroad trestle Tuesday morning, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said. Things got worse when, after hitting the bridge, the driver tried to keep going, doing further damage to the trailer and possible damage to the overpass, the sheriff’s office said. The truck remained stuck as of 4:30 p.m. and might not be cleared for several hours, the sheriff’s office said. Deputies cited James Hall, 38, of Olivehurst, Calif., for violating the posted truck route on Riverside Drive South.
