A tow truck driver is accused of using a truck to steal parked cars off the street and selling them to a North Portland car crushing business. Michael Reed is charged with first-degree theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. Police have issued a warrant for Reeds arrest. He is accused of stealing cars with a tow truck, and taking them to West Coast Car Crushing for cash.
Police say the business was not following regulations which require ownership paperwork in order to accept a car.
