Six plead no contest in Sacramento case involving fraudulent claims

Six people have pleaded not contest to felony charges of insurance fraud and personal identity theft in a case involving automobile windshield chip repairs. Felisha Blackmon, Aaron Bonner, Darryl Cartwright, Bonita Clayborn, David Luddand Atlakea Scott entered the pleas in Sacramento Superior Court. Between May 23, 2011, and Mary 24, 2012, the six defendants impersonated insurance policy holders and submitted approximately 1,000 fraudulent claims for automobile windshield chip repairs to numerous insurance companies, according to a Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office news release.
