 The Courant

An overnight fire forced about a dozen people from an apartment building on Wethersfield Avenue. No one was injured in the fire, which was reported about 2 a.m. Five apartments were destroyed. Cell phone video shows flames raging on the building’s roof. "The whole back porch was on fire," said resident David Lazu. "It was ugly. I couldn’t breathe. The whole place was full of smoke. We couldn’t see. Thank God we got out. And nobody got hurt."
