Thursday, September 4th, 2014 Workers' Compensation

A fast-moving storm caused a dangerous situation for two men working on a business roof Tuesday. The men were power washing when lightning struck nearby knocking one man unconscious. Billy Darling works nearby and saw the lightning bolt. "It sounded like an explosion in the building," Darling said. Firefighters had to use a rescue basket to get the man off the roof. "They finally brought him down and wrapped in some kind of something and put him on a stretcher," said Darling. Firefighters had to perform the rescue while it was still storming out.
