 FOX 10 Phoenix

Authorities with the City of Mesa evacuated residents from neighborhoods that border a retention basin along the U.S. 60 between Val Vista and Stapley. Mesa Police officials issued an immediate evacuation notice to homes in Greenfield Park near Diamond & Greenfield and at 37th St & Holmes. Authorities say transformers are underwater, and power officials could not turn the power off. One of the transformers was shut down after the evacuations.
