City officials were investigating the collapse early Tuesday of a retaining wall and an apartment parking garage’s back wall in midtown Omaha. No injuries were reported in the 3:10 a.m. collapse near South 38th and Jones Street. Officials said no streets in the area were blocked, but power was knocked out in the immediate area for about three hours before an Omaha Public Power District crew had it restored. Three vehicles belonging to Columbian apartment residents that were parked below the wall and the six-car garage were hemmed in by the bricks that gave way.
