A truck driver has been charged in early-morning tractor-trailer crash on Highway 25 in Greenville County.The wreck happened near Gap Creek Road, near Marietta and the North Carolina state line at about 6:30 a.m. Friday.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol said Kanapathitpillai Paramananthan, 66, of Ontario, Canada, is charged with driving too fast for conditions. Troopers said Paramananthan was driving south on Highway 25 about 12 miles north of Travelers Rest when he went off the side of the road and struck a culvert pipe, causing the truck to rollover.
