North Carolina Couple Accused of Multiple Fraudulent Claims

Deputies say a Wilmington couple tried to collect more than $63,000 in insurance fraud. Deputies said Richard Dwaine Warren, Jr., 30, and Miriam Warren, 27, conspired to defraud State Farm Insurance Company and Traveler’s Insurance Company with fraudulent claims for a September 2013 vehicle fire, motor vehicle accidents in September 2010 and June 2010, and stolen property from a residential break-in at the couple’s apartment in January 2010. The couple tried to collect more than $63,000 in funds, deputies said.
