Car Bursts Into Flames After Striking Utility Pole

A car burst into flames Sunday morning after slamming into a utility pole near Penns Landing. The crash happened around 10 a.m. at the intersection of Dock Street and Columbus Boulevard in the Society Hill Section of Philadelphia, fire officials tell NBC10.Photos captured on social media showed intense flames and heavy smoke could be seen rising from the area. The collision brought down live power lines and PECO was called to the scene to assist.Authorities said no one was injured.
