Overnight Fire Displaces Phoenix Family

A family is safe after two children smelled smoke and helped get everyone out of their burning home early Thursday morning.
A mother and her three children were sleeping in their home near 43rd Avenue and Northern when two of the kids smelled smoke and woke her and the other child up. They all got out of the house safely. Jill Marchi, the mother of the children, says her fourth child was sleeping at a neighbor’s house. According to Marchi, after making sure all of the children were safe, they went back to look for their five dogs, turtle and fish.
