Truck And Trailer Loaded With Tons Of Cheese Stolen

Enough cheese for tens of thousands of pizza pies was reported stolen Sunday from a parking lot near Summerfield. The multiple tons of shredded mozzarella, worth an estimated $85,000, was bound for the Hungry Howies Pizza distribution center in Lakeland. The refrigerated tractor packed with the cheese was left at Hubbard’s Truck Parking at 13866 S U.S. Highway 441. The driver of the rig left the trailer at the parking lot on Saturday evening while he had the hauler checked by a mechanic, according to Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports.
