High Winds, Downed Trees Wreak Havoc In Portland

Monday, March 16th, 2015 Auto Property

Mudslides and uprooted trees — scaffolding from buildings falling on cars — all a result of high winds and rainy weather across the Portland metro area Sunday. Portland Police and Portland Fire & Rescue responded to several reports of large trees down, blocking roads throughout the city. A woman driving near SW Park Avenue and SW Market Street was hit by a falling tree Sunday afternoon. Rescue officials were able to remove her from the car and she was taken to OHSU with traumatic injuries. The woman miraculously escaped with no broken bones and received only minor injuries and a concussion, officials said.
