Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Diagnosed With MRSA Sues Organization

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kicker Lawrence Tynes is suing the organization claiming unsanitary conditions at the team’s facility led to him contracting Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureas, or MRSA. Tynes claims the infection caused the end of his career, according to a news release issued by his attorney. He is now asking for $20 million in expected future earnings. Tynes told ESPN.com’s Elizabeth Merrill he spent eight or nine days without being diagnosed and his infection worsened. He eventually went to an outside doctor.
