Storms passing through the St. Louis area Thursday night heavily damaged several buildings in Chesterfield and flooded roads in Madison County. Monarch Fire Protection District spokesman Roger Herin said about 15 buildings in a light industrial business area sustained damage. “Thank God nobody was hurt, most people had left for the day, because it was after business hours,” he said. The storms came through Chesterfield just before 8 p.m.
