
A fire at a candle manufacturing company in Batavia caused minor injuries to a firefighter and resulted in $1 million in damage to the building, a fire official said.An automatic fire alarm alerted firefighters to come to Candle Corporation of America, 601 Kingsland Drive, in an industrial district on the city’s east side shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday, according to a statement from Batavia Fire Department officials.Property records show the building, at nearly 500,000 square feet, is owned by PartyLite Worldwide Inc., which also owns 603 and 605 Kingsland.
