Ambulance Attempting To Cross Flooded Road Gets Swept Away

Rushing waters abound after a snowstorm hit Morgan County particularly hard over the weekend. The rushing waters swept away an ambulance that was transferring a patient in Antelope Creek near Wiggins about 5 a.m. Sunday.Five people were inside the ambulance, which was from Byers in Arapahoe County, when it was swept away. The ambulance was moving a patient and was going to meet up with an ambulance from Morgan County when it attempted to cross a flooded spot the intersection of Morgan County Roads 4 and D. The ambulance was swept about 100 yards down the creek before getting stuck.
