Two Injured After Crashing Stolen Lexus

Two people were in the hospital Monday morning after stealing a Lexus and crashing it in City Heights, police said. San Diego State police attempted to pull the car over in City Heights and chased it all the way to the 3800 block of 42nd Street. The car then slammed into a dumpster and an SUV before also hitting a power pole in an alley off of University and Copeland Avenue.
Two people in the stolen Lexus were taken to Mercy Hospital, including one with a serious head injury. HazMat crews were called to the scene after the crashed car began leaking oil.
