Ford Motor Co. is recalling 1 million Mustangs and GTs as part of a growing list of vehicles affected by a recall of airbags made by Takata Corp. The Associated Press reports that Ford added additional model years of an already existing recall of some 500,000 Mustangs and GTs to bring the total to about 1 million. The recall now affects Mustangs from 2005-2014 and GTs from 2005-2006. Ford’s added vehicles come after Takata announced last month it is recalling 33.8 million vehicles in the U.S. for airbags that could explode and send metal pieces flying at drivers and passengers.
