Three Smash-And-Grab Attempts In Dallas Overnight

 Friday, June 12, 2015

 WFAA

Police are investigating three attempted smash-and-grab burglaries around Dallas, the most recent taking place at The Rustic, a popular Uptown restaurant, bar and live music venue. Dallas Police Sgt. Tony Takats says a 1995 to 2000 black extended cab truck with a diamond plate toolbox on the back drove into the main front entrance of The Rustic, located at 3656 Howell Street, at about 5:40 a.m. Friday. At least two people wearing hoods, gloves and masks jumped out of the truck and went inside the building for up to three minutes. Takats says they didn’t make off with anything, but it’s likely they tried to steal the ATM.
