Monday, June 15th, 2015 Fraud Workers' Compensation

A card dealer who claimed he was too injured to work has been charged with stealing workers’ compensation benefits after he was caught working at casinos in Spokane. The Washington Attorney General’s office filed charges based on an investigation by the Department of Labor & Industry. Officials say Victor Arredondo claimed he hurt his back in May 2013 while working as a card dealer. He received workers’ comp benefits from June 2013 to March 2014. But investigators say Arredondo kept working as a dealer for the entire eight months.
