Fire In Fresno’s Tower District; Six Homes Burn

Six homes are damaged after a Tuesday afternoon fire in Fresno’s Tower District. Firefighters say the fire started in one of the homes’ garages. The dry and windy conditions of the day helped the fire quickly spread to other homes. One home lost its garage and a bedroom. Another had a fire on a roof. The embers then caused a fire across the street and two several blocks away. Nobody was hurt. CalFire crews came to help to allow Fresno crews to rest due to the afternoon heat.
