Loaded Cattle Hauler Overturns In Louisiana

Some of the 79 cattle inside a tractor trailer that overturned in south Shreveport late Tuesday morning have died. A section of Mansfield Rd. was blocked for several hours between Jewella Avenue and Southside Drive as the rest of the cattle were transferred from the toppled double-deck trailer to back-up trailers that were brought in to remove them from the scene.
The driver of the big rig had reportedly missed his exit and had headed down Mansfield in search of a place to turn around when it happened just after 11:30 a.m.
