Three stranded fishermen were rescued from a sunken fishing boat off the coast of Louisiana. The boat, dubbed the Richie Rich, sank Monday approximately 12 miles southwest of Point Au Fer in the Gulf of Mexico. Coast Guard officials that three men were aboard life rafts after their 75-foot fishing vessel sank. The Coast Guard deployed air and boat crews to locate the stranded fishermen. Crews were able to locate the fishermen after they fired a flare, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
All three fishermen were safely transported to Morgan City.
