Out-Of-Control Ice Cream Truck Hits Multiple Vehicles

Police late Thursday were searching for an out-of-control ice cream truck driver who was seen on surveillance video crashing into multiple cars on the Lower East Side. As CBS2’s Valerie Castro reported, surveillance video showed the ice cream speeding down the road and narrowly missing a car. Video from another angle showed the truck plowing right into a small car on Clinton Street. Area maintenance worker Eric Camacho watched it happen. “He turned, he hit a motorcycle, then he hit the BMW, and he backed up and came over here and hit two more cars,” Camacho said.
