Large House Goes Up In Flames Just After Purchase

An early-morning fire destroyed a large home that was vacant in the 5200 block of East Nichols Drive on Thursday, the Littleton Fire Department said. The fire started in the basement just after 4:30 a.m., officials said. It quickly spread to the first and second floors of the home, and numerous crews worked to put out the fire. The home was recently sold and no one was inside. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The home was declared a total loss.
