 Thursday, December 10, 2015

 FOX 5

Birmingham emergency responders and hazardous material teams responded to a chemical spill from an 18-wheeler on Interstate 59/20 at the Arkadelphia Road exit. Local media outlets report that there are differing stories of what caused the chemical spill. Police say that an 18-wheeler was struck by another truck, causing the chemicals it was carrying to spill. Firefighters say that there was only one truck involved, and the driver might have hit something that knocked the chemicals loose.
