A multi-alarm apartment building fire that brought massive flames and billowed smoke across the Center City skyline sent two firefighters to the hospital. The fire broke out around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at 2122 Locust Street.Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer say first units arrived to the scene in four minutes and were met with heavy smoke in the basement. Chris Molinari tells Action News he lives on that floor. "When we were leaving the apartment, it was just everywhere. It was just really thick, it was on all the floors; we were really scared and had to get out," Molinari said.
