Mazda Recalls, Stops Sales Of CX-5 Vehicles Over Fuel Leak Concerns

 Tuesday, February 2, 2016

 Consumerist

If you’ve got a 2014-2016 Mazda CX-5 sitting in the driveway — or you were planning on buying one anytime soon — here’s some bad news for you. The carmaker has recalled and stopped the sale of more than 260,000 of these vehicles over fuel leak concerns. According to Mazda, the fuel filler pipe on the CX-5 could rupture during a rear collision, possibly resulting in fuel leakage. The company says it knows of no reports of accidents or injuries related to the recalled vehicles.
Customers concerned about driving their CX-5 until it’s been repaired can contact their Mazda dealer for a loaner car in the interim.
