Jacqueline DeVite believes that if she had been sleeping in her bed Friday morning, she might be dead today. DeVite was away for the night when a box truck carrying mail crashed into her house at 6047 N. Edinburg Road around 5:35 a.m., destroying her bed, her bedroom, and the basement and cracking most of the walls inside the house.
