Fire Destroys Pine Bluff, Arkansas Apartment Complex

Several fire crews battled a large fire at an apartment complex in Pine Bluff for several hours Wednesday morning. The fire was reported at 9:43 a.m. at the Country Club Plaza apartments at 42nd Avenue and Cherry Street. Huge flames and black billowing smoke can be seen coming from the buildings. Fire officials say a man cooking on his electric stove is what started the blaze. He is reportedly the one who called 911. The Red Cross also responded to the scene to help displaced apartment residents.
