Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire that destroyed a 150-year-old church in New Jersey while the pastor tries to find a place to worship on Easter. Several departments responded to First Presbyterian Church of Englewood on E. Palisade Avenue. The fire broke out just before 8 p.m. Tuesday. No one was at the church when the fire broke out. The flames could be seen shooting through the roof and steeple. The fire ripped through several floors of the church. The church’s website says it was established in 1860 and it is believed to be the first Presbyterian church in Bergen County.
