Crop Adjusters To Assess Hail Damage In Colorado

Thursday, July 14th, 2016 Property

The nearly daily deluge has continued from June into July, and it’s bringing hail with it. Thursday, July 7, an onslaught of rain and hail poured down in town and southeast of Holyoke. Beginning around 5 p.m., the mess of wind and water was brief, lasting roughly 15 minutes. During that time, branches were ripped off trees and flooded streets were pushing water onto lawns and sidewalks. Pea-sized hail fell to the ground and quickly disappeared. Outside of town, larger dime-sized and nickel-sized hail bashed the wheat that hadn’t been harvested and rendered the growing corn crop to stumps.
