Thursday, October 27th, 2016 Auto Legislation & Regulation Liability

Traffic on Interstate 4 isn’t just frustrating, it’s dangerous. A new survey from EverQuote analyzed traffic fatalities and found that I-4 is the most dangerous interstate in the country with 1.41 fatalities per mile from 2010 to 2015. The 132-mile highway, which runs from Tampa to Daytona Beach, has been among the top 10 most dangerous highways for the past six years. Two other interstates that run through Florida -- I-95 and I-10 -- were also named some of the most dangerous. Distracted driving could be to blame for the high number of fatalities. EverQuote notes that Florida ranks second worst in the country for phone use while driving with 1.4 phone uses per trip, higher than the national average of 1.1 phone uses per trip.
