Four Georgia Fishermen Rescued From Burning Boat

Four fishermen and a dog reportedly have minor injuries after a boat fire in St. Simons Island Sound in Georgia, according to U.S. Coast Guard officials. A Coast Guard 45-foot Response Boat—Medium crew from Station Brunswick, Georgia, located and rescued the crew and their dog from the 58-foot fishing vessel Predator early Thursday morning. Coast Guard Sector Charleston Command Center watch standers received a mayday call from the fishing vessel crew at 3:53 a.m. saying their boat caught fire, and they were abandoning ship. Officials warned mariners of debris from the explosion.
