Home Condemned After Fire, $300K In Damage

A City of Falls Church family has been displaced from their home in the 300 block of Timber Lane after a fire broke out Saturday, causing $300,000 in damages, the City announced Sunday. Arlington and Fairfax County fire departments responded to the structure fire Saturday, just after 5 p.m. An aggressive attack was made to extinguish the blaze, the City said. No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The City of Falls Church Fire Marshal stated the fire is still under investigation and estimates the damage at over $300,000. The property is condemned.
