Hyundai, Kia Recalling 1.2M Cars For Possible Engine Failure

According to the National Highway Safety Administration website, Hyundai and Kia are issuing a recall on some of their most popular models. The recall, which affects the Sonata, Santa Fe Sport, Optima, Sorento and Sportage, states that bearing wear may result in the engine seizing, increasing the risk of a crash. Specifically, Hyundai Motor America and Kia Motor Company said machining errors during the engine manufacturing process may cause premature bearing wear within the engine.
