Two Drivers Killed In Head-On Collision

Two Algonquin women were killed in a three-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at 902 E. Algonquin Road, Algonquin Police said. The incident happened about 3:12 p.m., when the driver of a car heading eastbound crossed the center line, striking two vehicles traveling westbound. The driver of the eastbound vehicle was taken to Centegra Hospital — Huntley, where she was pronounced dead at 3:48 p.m. The driver of one of the cars traveling westbound, who was struck head on, was pronounced dead at the scene. The third driver was taken to the hospital for treatment.
