Two more people lost their lives on South Dakota roads as the Sturgis motorcycle rally came to a close Sunday. The South Dakota Department of Highway Safety reported two rally-related accidents Saturday — bringing the total of vehicle fatalities to eight for the 2017 rally — nearly triple that of 2016 when three people lost their lives. Names of the victims have not been released. At 7:06 a.m. Saturday, an 18-year-old Piedmont man lost control of his motorcycle on US Highway 14A, just two miles west of Sturgis.
