Three rounds of heavy rain inundated Kansas City Monday into early Tuesday, triggering the second major flash flood in one part of the metro area in less than a month.
The floods chased some residents onto the roofs of their homes, as local news footage showed Tuesday morning. Along the flood-prone Indian Creek, a woman was rescued from a tree after floodwaters washed her vehicle away, according to WDAF-TV.
