Insurance Wanted — Odell Beckham Jr. Considering A Record Setting Policy

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 Excess & Surplus Lines

New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is thinking about securing an insurance policy for over $100 million in injury protection, sources say. The NFL player will reportedly acquire insurance if he does not reach a contract extension with the team before the regular season begins. Sources close to the matter told Yahoo Sports that Beckham’s camp considered injury insurance prior to Monday, when the player suffered a severely sprained ankle in a preseason game. “[If a deal isn’t done] by the regular season, he’ll take steps to protect himself. [But] a new deal is preferable to adding insurance,” a source said.
