Three people were killed and four seriously injured when a car struck a bear and slid off a Colorado highway early Friday morning.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, all seven people were ejected from the 2007 Chevrolet SUV. It hit the animal going westbound on Interstate 70 near Rifle, crossed through the eastbound lanes and settled on the southern edge of the highway. Two people were declared dead at the scene a 60-year-old man and a 7-year-old girl. A 15-year-old female died later at a hospital. Two of those injured had life-threatening injuries, one had serious injuries, and the condition of the last person was unknown.
