Monday, December 11th, 2017 Excess & Surplus Lines Fraud

A Wausau man accused of lying to police about having hundreds of thousands of dollars in sports memorabilia stolen from him is scheduled to be back in court Thursday. Preliminary hearings in the case of Wisconsin vs Kurt A Grey were held in Marathon County court today, facing various counts of lying to officers, insurance fraud, intentional damage to property, criminal trespassing, and bail jumping. Charges stem from a 2011 incident in which Grey claimed that nearly 300 pieces of sports memorabilia were stolen from him, including four autographed Brett Favre jerseys and a Mickey Mantle autographed baseball.
