Thursday, January 11th, 2018 Excess & Surplus Lines Liability

A crash involving multiple semis closed I-65 near Seymour for several hours on Thursday as crews worked to clean up a chemical spill that later caught fire. The crash happened around 5 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 43 and caused a massive chemical spill from one of the trucks. Indiana State Police later closed all lanes of traffic and evacuated homes within a half-mile of the crash because of an "explosion risk," according to Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles. Indiana State Police have not said what chemical was leaking from the truck.
