Authorities have determined that the headlights of an RV were not on at the time of a fatal wrong-way crash involving a Michigan couple in Florida on Tuesday. Walter Roney, 98, and passenger Carolyn Elizabeth-Evans Bruns, 75, were traveling the wrong way on State Road 70 in St. Lucie County, going westbound in the eastbound lane, when their RV struck a Chevrolet Silverado head on at 6:53 p.m., according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet — Santia Myriah Feketa, 17, and Britney Lee Poindexter, 16 — were both killed in the crash.
