6 Tornadoes Confirmed In The Ozarks

The national weather service now reports six tornadoes in the Ozarks Saturday morning. Five were EF-1 tornadoes, the other, an EF-0.
An EF-1 tornado touched down two miles south of Monett at 12:15 a.m. Saturday. The tornado was on the ground for one-tenth of a mile, it was 50 yards wide.with wind speeds of 80 mph. Several homes sustained minor roof damage. An EF-1 tornado touched down two miles south of Aurora at 12:30 a.m. The 50-yard wide tornado was on the ground for one-half-a mile with wind seeds of 100 mph. It did damage to the Aurora motel where a man was killed. It also damaged the Sutherlands home improvement store. At 12:41 a.m., an EF-1 tornado touch down one-and-a-half miles south Billings.
